Pussycat & The Dirty Johnsons are back! Puss Johnson up front, taunting the crowd into a participatory cat scratch fever moshpit as the solid as fook Jake and Ant lay down the rawest, wranglingest, wriggling rocknroll imaginable. For fans of The Stooges, The Cramps, Sex Pistols and Bikini Kill for sure but so much diverse input to enjoy here and they always sound just like their good selves. Excitement and fun assured. And adding anarchistwood makes for a punk frenzy dream line up in our book, what with their aor of intelligent prankterism and punk power and the commanding and sassy Frank Cutter at the helm, cutting thru the crap with some counter cultural ramalama part Detroit ’69, part Boredom ’76 and thirdly part Battle Of The Beanfield ’80s. All parts perfectly synced for pure punk rock pleasure. The Blunders bring their politically charged attitude to the fore telling us what for with a semi narrated not exactly rap but kinda rap delivery and some insistent punky but tight and disciplined grooves. A bit Clash like but more like an organic deconstructed Gang Of 4 meets Alabama 3 or something. Hate Penny start the party. The guitar/drums White Stripes formula gets a particularly frenzied blues wailin’ makeover. The Hate Penny effect is big and ballsy. Great grinding rocknroll. Great night out, get in for 8pm sharp and don’t miss a single second of punk rock joy.

Please click upon this beautifully toothsome image of the original Magnificent Six, North London Invaders who embraced Madness and changed the UK pop map forever, and then some. By doing so you will find and hopefully here to enjoy Episode 2 of The Dublin Castle Rock and Roll Book Club Podcast. Eminently informative, a little bit educational and assuredly entertaining, this shit is positively Reithian, and definitely nutty. Julie Hamill, Tony Bugbear & Andy Dukey Duke deliriously disseminate forthcoming events at The Rock N Roll Book Club, with forthright discussion around perennial greats Madness, the British ska pop phenomenon still excelling in both the live and recorded popular music arenas. Madness One Step Beyond 33 1/3rd Classic Albums tome as penned by oft times band sax blarter and all round musical polymath cum top geezer Terry Edwards is the topic of our Q and A and listening sesh on Wednesday 4th July. It’ll be Tarzan’s Nuts. Our podcast makes for an ace audio aperitif for the actual Book Club happening in the corporeal, foot on monitor, real rock and roll world. [more] Erudite and witty discussions also extend to topics such as punk rock, David Bowie, No York, The Psychedelic World of Alshire Records and Democratic Punk Rock Karaoke, who, lest we forget, provide the amazing rendtions to your songcraft the last Friday of each month in The Dublin Castle- Pay Day Punk Rock Karaoke, a must attend happening.
