Sunshine Reggae...

Saturday 18th November/The Dublin Castle
Reggae Uprising Night/Dubvocalisa/Mystic Rockers/Stuart Wilson/DJ Jim Jahms

Wish it was still Summertime? Wanna keep Summer vibes alive without having to sit on top of a whole bunch of explosive aviation fuel and jet off somewhere at huge expense?
Well, we have the sunshine fix for you….Bugbear are rendered very, very irie indeed on announcing Reggae Uprising Night this weekend in the bubblin’ rub a dub Dublin Castle. Starring Dubvocaliza and their progressively inclined pop reggae jamdown. Dennis Bovell’s Matumbi could be a good touchstone, or early Aswad and Steel Pulse. Reggae with elements of rock, a touch of Pink Floyd and a nod to Massive Attack, drawing inspiration from Peter Tosh, Horace Andy or maybe Ini Kamoze. Fantastic live band. Mystic Rockers also join the jahmboree– roots rockers with that edgy British twist and a penchant for dubwise excursions, this is pure reggae joy for fans of The Twinkle Brothers, Misty In Roots and The Mad Professor. Stuart Wilson opens this fabulous show. Hailing from the Cayman Islands, the silky voiced Mr Wilson rocks a bright and breezy variation on reggae with a big upfront riddim and a modern sheen over old school dancehall vibes. Wonderful songs too. A wonderful night out in fact. Cheap Tickets here.
