Punk’s Payday Karaoke– Payday Punk Rock And New Wave Karaoke is our monthly fourth Friday of the month regular Dublin Castle sing and be Damned happening. Featuring our bespoke punk and indie covers crack team The DPRK– AKA Democratic Punk Rock Karaoke– and their mahoosive book of fabulous songs that you can perform live on stage in London’s most iconic venue. DJ Fuzz at the musical controls to keep the party going til the wee wee hours, this will be your monthly must attend event in Camden Town and certainly the only one where you can unleash your inner Johnny, Debbie, Joey or Joe. You are a star, see you at the bar.

Tonite we kick off with a Tyneside punk rock invasion, starring- Johnny Seven – Triffic Teeside 2nd wave punkers with a keen ear for melody, agreat look and frippery free hook laden tunes executed with aplomb and explosive power. Great to hear a cover of The Pistols’ ‘Bodies’ too. This is excellent rock and roll that’s packing much much tood. The Filth are also making the punk rock equivalent of the Jarrow March tonight. The Filth, yes, and they do have plenty of Fury too. Fantastic punk rock phlegm and phlegmatic fire. The Outbursts are first, get in nice and early coz this Payday Punk Rock Party kicks off EARLY 7pm sharp. With an album entitled ‘Alien Bra’ in their underwear drawer what’s not to love? Anarchic knockabout nonsense from a proper London punk band singing short snappy songs with absurd topics and very good vocal harmonies. Don’t expect politics, don’t expect philosophy, they say, goes for the whole night. Enjoy!

Talking of all things punkishly joyous, what a triumph our Sylvain Sylvain shows were last week. A host of faces pitched up to feel the love from Thurston Moore to Bobby Gillespie to the odd Undertone and founding Fall member.
