With their eagerly anticipated third long player about to drop Buggerbear are very pleased to welcome back the always glorious Pussycat & The Dirty Johnsons. Tood agogo from Puss Johnson up front, taunting the crowd into a participatory cat scratch fever moshpit as the solid as fook Jake and Ant lay down the rawest, wranglingest, wrigglingest rocknroll imaginable. Varied too, with a pop sensibility, their pony is heavily laden with tricks aplenty. For fans of The Stooges, The Cramps, Sex Pistols and Bikini Kill for sure but so much diverse input to enjoy here and they always sound just like their good selves. Excitement and fun assured. Also tonite .. PollyPikPocketz, electric and energized with a sass all their own, and will be enjoyed by admirers of Lunachicks and L7. Insisiting on a little ‘A’ COZ ‘All letters are equal’, anarchistwood are a witty and powerful space punk psych rocknroll countercultural collision of Stoogecore, anarcho punk and righteous ramalama. Up first, the legend states ‘Stunt Driver Play Grunt’..Jack Flint, Paul Raggity and Rob Banks open with as esoteric and enigmatic a punk rock statement as you could hope for, so get in early doors please.

Tonight is Nuffin’s Vintage Punk Rock Christmas Party, with very special guests, Those Naughty Lumps. From Iggy Pop’s Jacket back in the Zoo Records/Erics days, the Lumps were the Scouse New Wave band too set on having fun to be worried about being as cool as Cope or as whack as Mac. OK they were never going to be Big In Japan, but they’re mahoosive in our hearts. These recently reformed mature gentlemen of punk pop know a thing or two about showmanship, smutty fun and top tunes. Fronted by a WW1 History Prof and a cricketer, you really couldn’t make this up. For fans of Deaf School, The Members, The Boys and joyous abandon with raw riffings. And also tonight…Move along Sonny, Nuffin to see here…. On 3rd August 1977, Nuffin’ turned up at the legendary Roxy Club to play ‘Audition Night’, only to find that Janet Street-Porter and a TV crew had taken over. Luckily, they were looking for an ‘undiscovered’ band as a counterpoint to all of the hype around at the time. And so a brief snap-shot of the the four Caterham teenagers, strutting their stuff and sharing their take on life, was captured for posterity. See the callow Nuffin teens in Janet Street Porter’s glorious 40 year old film by clicking uppy there about 15 minutes in. And original Nuffin then Eater drummer Dee Generate at home with his fam about 22 minutes in. Bloody wonderful. Never Mind The Skrewdriver. Up The Punks! [more] So why not save the date to join the same four teenagers forty (and a bit) years on, playing the original set, and partying with friends like it’s 1977 all over again? What’s not love? Nuffin to be proud of! Plus! Religion Equals Decay. Yup. Or Righteous Energetic Deviants? Punk fun all the way. And The Glorias… ‘RocknRoll so dirty you’ll need to take a shower’! Well Borrowed Time have had to pull out due to hospitalization so that’ll do me. There are no showers in the DC so follow the ahem golden rule, stay drrrrty.
