Squeeze Me Please Me...

The Dublin Castle Rock N Roll Book Club Wednesday 3rd January Chris Difford Some Fantastic Place Q And A with Julie Hamill and Tony Bugbear’s CBGBs Discoteque Get Cheap Tickets Here

Chris Difford is a rare breed. As a member of one of London’s best-loved bands, the Squeeze co-founder has made a lasting contribution to English music with hits such as ‘Cool For Cats’, ‘Up The Junction’, ‘Labelled With Love’, ‘Hourglass’ and ‘Tempted’. Chris recently celebrated his 60th birthday, thereafter Squeeze took a break and Glenn and Chris toured their ‘At Odds Couple Tour’ both in the UK and the US. Chris and Glenn wrote a new Squeeze album based on the life of Danny Baker, the soundtrack for a BBC2 production called ‘Cradle To Grave’ staring Peter Kay. A major hit all round. Ivor Novello award winning songwriter Chris Difford has written and contributed lyrics for the likes of Elton John, Wet Wet Wet, Jools Holland, Paul Carrack, Lisa Stansfield and Bryan Ferry.

Following the recent release of his fourth studio album, Chris got together with Orion Books, and an autobiography called ‘Some Fantastic Place’ is now available. Chris Difford will be interviewed tonight by regular Dublin Castle RocknRoll Book Club host Julie Hamill, with audience Q and A, book signings and a Difford related disco agogo lovingly put together by Tony Bugbear will also feature in tonight’s soiree, a right groovy fucker’s blend of sonic Slap And Tickle and literature Labelled With Love.

Bugbear talks to legendary Bristolian soundsystem operator and mic manipulator Gary Clail alongside his new partner in out there hard rocking dub and electronica the equally legendary and equally Brizzle based Mr Tony Wrafter (Glaxo Babies, Tricky, Pigbag etc etc). And we play an EXCLUSIVE new tune from Gary’s forthcoming new album. Check it out it’s an absolute belter, you won’t hear anything as fabulously mind expanding anywhre else just now. As part of our latest show outta Soho Radio right here embedded behind Gary’s pic just there, enjoy.
