The Annual Midsummer Spizz Party starring Spizz Energi (the man for whom the word ‘mercurial’ was invented, well ok that may have been Mercury himself. But look at him there at play with some other very famous old-enough-to-know-not-much-better-actually punkers) is now on it’s what 6th, 7th, 8th year? We’re not sure, but we do know it’s a punky reggae party you can’t be missing whether you be a equinoxually inclined pagan party animal, a Scifi punky pop enthusiast or just someone who knows a good night out when he or she sees one. Feel the heat, feel the fun. Where’s Captain Kirk? Right here, beam up to Planet Bugbear and get your phazers set to stun. A lot cheaper than the Isle of White fest & you don’t need a tent! Support from Hercules II, amazing band. All star all noisenik heroes of London Grunge and Lurch and general post punk mayhem Herc 2 (named after the Steptoe and Son horse natch)lay down slabs of multi layered noise on a Sabs and Sunn O meets Stooges via Wooden Shjips tip. It’s a beautiful psychedelic world of sound that’s gonna whack you round the head, beatifically. Plus! The Real Rocksteady. Featuring vocalist Elvis De Costa. Superbly deft and effortlessly adroit behind them Spizz skins is one Jeff Walker…and the drummer puts in an extra shift tonight with his other band, and we’re looking forward to some nice easy skankin’ reggaematic vibes to kick the Spizzfest off tonight. Vibes, yes, vibes. DJ s We Got Killers – Punk, reggae, soul, exotica. electronica, the only criteria being killer diller dancefloor enablement aplenty. Git down
