Polyfest! In Memory Of Poly Styrene + RocknRoll Rescue Fundraiser

In Memory of the late great Poly Styrene of X Ray Spex, Polyfest has become an annual must attend event. All these icons on the same bill performing for a very small amount of money, what’s not to love. This year we’ll be raising money for RockNRoll Rescue right next door to The Dublin Castle, head Vibrator Knox Carnochan’s genius musicians’ one stop shop for good vibes and goodlier charitable works. RNR Rescue will be joining the party with some intimate happenings and DJ Action in-store, plus you might get to see some of the stars getting in and out of their spangly stage gear in there, or getting a Buggerbear operative to remove all the green M And Ms from their rider (what rider?) you never know but don’t hold us to that.

Anyway it is certainly gonna be a reet treat this year. From 4pm to 2am, and starring Dr And The Medics, Anita Harris, Ricky Vallance (Tell Laura I Love Her), Freak Party (Ex Smiths), Intastella And Jah Wobble, Jenny Belle Star, David Live, Youth (Killing Joke/The Orb/The Fireman), Gary Clail, Melanie Williams (Sub Sub) , Knox and The Vibrators, Brunk, Dominique Oliver, The Shakespearos, Dust Junkys Collective (with Nicky Tunes), The Homosexuals, JC Carroll (The Members), Then Jerico, You The Living with Dave Barbarossa (Adam And The Ants, Bow Wow, Wow, Republica), Imagination’s Errol Kennedy, The Jet Reds, The Stems (Ex The Fall, Pixies, Gorilla, Elbow), Saffron Republica, Mankind (Dr Who), Nick Aslam, Dead Audio Saints….phew, but it’s all about Poly so click on the image above to see a terrific clip from the cult film D.O.A (we must get Terry And The Idiots next year…..) With the official Poly Styrene movie about to drop exciting times ahead for lovers of all things Poly. Last Tickets Here

Knox was one of our guests on our last Soho Radio show…Here he be in the goddamn studio with the lovely Beverley Isaacs, ace artist, and a less than lovely Buggerbear. click below for an earful and groovy music from The Who to The Contortions to Julie London, Max Romeo and Joy Division.
